Excite your senses with this divine raw food green juice, which green shades are disguised by the beetroots beautiful red. Nourishing for both your body and soul, it is bursting with minerals and vitamins and its minor cleansing properties, makes this juice one of my favorites. One serving provides two large glasses and can be shared with someone you love – or you can be naughty and enjoy both the glass itself. This gives the same amount of energy that you would get from an ordinary meal.
Super Red-Green Juice Ingredients:
– Kale 100g.
– Spinach 50g.
– Celery 100g.
– 1 Apple
– Pineapple 150g.
– Fennel 200g.
– 2 Carrots
– Beetroot 150g.
This is how you turn your raw food into nutritious beverage:
First put the kale and spinach in your juicer and pack it well in the feed chute. Then add the celery stalks and apples on top and start the juicer. Then juice the rest of the ingredients, add if necessary. ice and enjoy! Tip; By juicing the ingredients in same order as written, you will experience a beautiful symphony of red and green colors.
– In order to fully benefit from the juice of kale, spinach and other leafy vegetables, juice these first and subsequently juice the more juicy vegetables and fruits. In this way the juice from the more watery vegetables and fruit will draw the juice from the green leaves with it out. Otherwise, you would see that the juice from the spinach would not be more than a few drops out of the juicer.
This is only if you use a centrifugal juicer which is the most common but if you use a masticating juicer this isn’t a problem.
Enjoy this green juice with or without ice and your body will love you!
In a raw food diet green juice is a must in order to cover the daily needs for minerals and vitamins. Leafy juice gives you besides the many vitamins and minerals also easily absorbed proteins in the form of easily absorbable amino acids. This delicious raw food juice is rich in the minerals magnesium, potassium and calcium which all are important substances in the body. It is also rich in iron, zinc and chromium. Chromium helps to regulate our blood sugar which is an important factor for a healthy fat burning. In my raw food diet I include a daily glass of green juice or two. If you don’t drink milk, then green juices are also a good way to get your calcium. Be aware, however to switch between your leafy vegetables because they contain substances which in the longer term can be stored in the body which isn’t too healthy. Use for example. kale one day, chard the other and spinach, the third. This will avoid you storing any of the harmful substances. See also my on choosing the best juicer HERE.
