What do you need?

  • Asparagus
  • Olive oil or other oil
  • Salt, pepper, and herbs (thyme goes especially well with asparagus)
  • A lime or lemon

How do you do?

Start by preheating the oven to 450 degrees.

Prepare the asparagus by cutting or snapping off the tough bottom part of the spears or you can peel them with potato peeler.

Put the asparagus in a plastic bag add the oil, the salt, the pepper and herbs. Close the plastic bag tightly; now shake the bag lightly to cover all the spears with oil.

Empty the bag carefully in an oven-proof baking dish and place it in the oven.

Roast the asparagus for about ten minutes, or until tender.

When finished squeeze some lime or lemon over the asparagus and serve.
