Here is the recipe for a Thai style omelet. If you like Thai food I think you will like this. It is quick and easy to make and you can add extra meat, chicken and seafood to it. If you like this you might also like this recipe for filled omelet.


  • 4 eggs
  • approx. 3 tablespoons vegetable oil (grapeseed oil)
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce (Nahm Plah)
  • 1 tablespoon sweet oyster sauce (Nahm Mon Hoi)
  • 2 spring oninions
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 1 red onion
  • a bunch of fresh coriander leaves

Preparation Method

Whip the eggs together really well.
Finely chop the spring onions and the red onions.
Chop the tomatoes coarsely.


Mix all ingredients in a bowl and stir it together.
Heat a frying pan with oil until it is smoking.
Pour egg mixture out to cover the entire frying pan
Turn down the heat and let the omelet bake for approximately 5 minutes.
Turn the omelet over and fry the other side for another 5 minutes.


You can add shrimp or ham to the omelet, which you should cut into small pieces and mix into egg mixture.
